WP0: Management

• PMP on the ESO documentation system (PDM)
• ESO Latex template compatible with the ESO PDM
• Last version of Metrology document ready for ESO PDM
• All documents inside the "Document" folder for each WP

WP1 Metrology: 

• Target date for first installation of the system @ Paranal --> November 2026
• Alignment of the optical fiber with the metrology device (piezo-mike and mechanical parts)
• Use of the Redpitaya to acquire the flux on the photodiode
• Make a second iteration with plastic parts and then if it works make the final configuration (metal part)
• Choose the collimator --> Fix or variable focal length
• Optical fiber procurement on-going
• Polarisation issue --> Work on software on-going

 

WP2 Beam Combiner: 

• Test-bench: work on polarisation, issue with Argon source (no flux at the output)
• Keep in mind that we need a specifications document for the call for tender

 

WP3 Spectrometer:

• Issue on Zemax license @ ESO :-(
• Tolerancing of the current design on-going @ ESO
• FLI discussions --> Action Tristan: organise a meeting with FLI to find the best design
• Cryostat --> Action Elias: Begin the first draft of a call-for-tender like document
• Tristan visit Derek @ ESO to discuss on detector test and performance

 

WP4 Feeding optics: 

• Decide the strategy to continue on the injection module developement --> Discussion inside the planetes office
• Work to be done on alignment (where ?)

 

WP5 ICS: 

• Roberto get a new computer for the Metrology system
• Need of a new Redpitaya --> No TBC

 

WP6 System Test: 

• Nothing to say

 

WP7 Pipeline: 

• Nothing to say

 

WP11: System Engineer 

• Luis and Tristan on the ICD
• Sylvestre on the instrument overview document
